The Catalans ensure they need reached an agreement with Los Che over the transfer of the Spain international this summer, with the fullback able to sign a five-year contract.
Barcelona has announced on the club's official web site that it's agreed a fee with Valencia for the signing of Jordi Alba.
The Blaugrana had long been linked with a move for the left back, and are currently one step nearer to finishing the deal once negotiating a fourteen million euro fee.
Alba can endure a medical next week, and sign a five-year deal upon successful completion of his physical examination.
"Barcelona announce that nowadays an agreement with Valencia has been reached for the transfer of Jordi Alba, pending a medical examination the player can endure in Barcelona next week," an officer statement reads.
"The value of the transfer are fourteen million euros and therefore the player can sign a contract for following 5 seasons."
Alba, 25, may be a product of the Barcelona youth academy, however did not forced the lock the primary team at Camp Nou and left the club in 2005.
He can currently come back to his boyhood outfit once spells with Cornella, Gimnastic and Valencia.
